1. Desk staff is much more attentive to guest check in and check out for a quick, hassle-free experience.

2. Luckily we had friends staying in New York so we decided to check out straight away purely for hygiene reasons, once explaining that we wanted to check out, we received from the front of house members a smirk and a laugh, no sorry or refund.

3. One last thing check out Big Nicks diner just round the corner on Broadway - a true 'dive' but with the best food around particularly if you like to stuff yourself for breakfast.
