1. There was also a few good restaurants and bars nearby - we like the Wharf bar (good drinks prices and specials and great chicken wings) and Dukes (American diner style).

4. Building appears to have been converted from apartments, so there are no frills like a restaurant, bar, etc. -- but the neighborhood offers all of that within easy walking distance.

5. 3rd avenue, which is a couple of minutes walk away, has a great variety of restaurants and bars, which should be more than enough to satisfy anyones tastes.

9. A small negative would be that's its just a little out of the way, but not too bad, we did find a pizza place open at 1.30am around the block on 2nd Avenue, and lots of 'local bars' like the FDNY bar on second or the black sheep on 3rd, and even the brilliant chill lounge on lexington.
