4. Walk, or take the subway, you are minutes away from Broadway, the Park,, the Village, Downtown, etc. Take in as Al's suggested lunch spots, which were terrific, and you are all set.

8. The hotel seemed very popular and was in a great location, close to 2 subway lines and around the corner from Chelsea Market which we walked to for lunch.

9. On one glorious Sunday we took the subway to the Ferry terminal crossed over to Statten Island and back (free), then walked up past ground zero, over Brooklyn Bridge to the Gumbo area of Brooklyn where we had lunch as suggested by the hotel and then walked back across the Manhattan Bridge through China Town and down to the Hudson River.
