We arrived early and on their suggestion watched sushi being made in Clelsea market before buying
lunch
and eating it on the High Line linear park - a perfect introduction to NY.

Walk, or take the subway, you are minutes away from Broadway, the Park,, the Village, Downtown, etc. Take in as Al's suggested
lunch
spots, which were terrific, and you are all set.

There was a little kitchen space, with sink, refrigerator, counter and a little cupboard (no coffee maker or microwave) - perfect for
lunch
prepared with Chelsea Market supplies.

On one glorious Sunday we took the subway to the Ferry terminal crossed over to Statten Island and back (free), then walked up past ground zero, over Brooklyn Bridge to the Gumbo area of Brooklyn where we had
lunch
as suggested by the hotel and then walked back across the Manhattan Bridge through China Town and down to the Hudson River.
