2. Room service is handled by Mint, an Indian restaurant across the street, and the food was excellent--I actually went in to the restaurant the second day.

3. Ask any concierge for a recommendation, they really know the area well and can recommend a restaurant for you based on what kind of food or atmosphere you fancy.

6. Around the corner from the hotel on 2nd Avenue are restaurants Italian restaurants on 49th St and further along on the other side of the road either 45th or 46th St is a bar called the Perfect Pint nice bar and food served and an open air seating area on the 3rd floor.

7. Bartholomews church on Park Ave for a brunch at 'Outside Park' on their patio; lovely smooth European style coffee and fantastic food (be aware it did get busy when we were there).
