3. This place is definitely for the latter only, but the 2nd floor room had a nice deck with a good view and included cable tv, a safe and a minifrig.

4. Clean 4th floor room with ocean view, friendly, helpful staff, adequate breakfast with genuine hawaii ambience, the resort retains the original laid back experience, an ideal base for daily excursions around the island and as a bonus it faces west, giving the sunset view each evening.

7. Ok, so I've stayed in the Hilo Uncle Billy's and had upgraded to the oceanfront little condo type room which though very dated was clean enough and had a pleasant view of the Hilo Bay.
