Aloft isn't luxurious, and I wouldn't choose it for a special night out, but for good
value
, business or pre/post flight lodging, it truly can't be beat and I'll definitely keep it on my 'favorites' list.

Those are all nice places, but these are the reasons why I prefer aLoftt: 1) Good
value
(average $100 per night) 2) Free parking 3) Free internet 4) Quiet (surprising since it's near the airport) 5) Nice rooms (modern decor) 6) Bliss beauty products (my wife had me put this in) 7) Large screen TV's (with an easy access AV plug in box for all you ipod users) 8) In room refrigerator 9) Easy access in the MAX line 10) Tons of stores/dining options nearby (including IKEA) 11) Nice gym (not depressing like your working out in a converted closet like some hotel gyms).
"This is the place to stay in PDX. "
