1. If you drive north I recommend Island Dreams( i think that was the name) in Hawi for great ice cream or coffeeOne day we started out early to see the Volcano and stopped at Tex's for great Malasadas ( donuts) and stopped before Hilo at Akaka Falls ( easier walk) before going to Hilo for the market, Pescatores for lunch ( great Italian food at a fair price), Big Island Candy Factory ( for yummy samples) and then to the park to see the active plume going out of the volcano.

6. This is a brand new Hilton Grand Vacations Resort and is well planned out, with one exception - food (or lack there of as far as on-site restaurants as there was only one open for lunch to 6pm, but they have full kitchens).

7. Everyhting about the hotel was fabololus, we had our breakfast included in the price in our stay which was a bonus, as it woukd of cost us $50 every morning, The resturants were set at a resonable price especially for the food, Only downside is, if you want lunch at the pool only a few bars do lunch, or you gotta trek to find a bar.

8. (The King's Grille near the resort is great for breakfast and lunch, good prices and good food but not open for dinner) The food at the Hilton hotel was generally poor and fairly limited.
