1. The Queens Market Place has a small food court with some standard fast food chains (Subway, Arby's, Orange Julius) and a few local outfits offering pizza, fish and chips and hamburgers.

3. This is a brand new Hilton Grand Vacations Resort and is well planned out, with one exception - food (or lack there of as far as on-site restaurants as there was only one open for lunch to 6pm, but they have full kitchens).
"Best hotel stayed at in Hawaii " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/8/2010 Vote
4. (The King's Grille near the resort is great for breakfast and lunch, good prices and good food but not open for dinner) The food at the Hilton hotel was generally poor and fairly limited.
"Nice Rooms but No Beach " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/16/2009 Vote

7. If you drive north I recommend Island Dreams( i think that was the name) in Hawi for great ice cream or coffeeOne day we started out early to see the Volcano and stopped at Tex's for great Malasadas ( donuts) and stopped before Hilo at Akaka Falls ( easier walk) before going to Hilo for the market, Pescatores for lunch ( great Italian food at a fair price), Big Island Candy Factory ( for yummy samples) and then to the park to see the active plume going out of the volcano.

8. But you can go the the Queens market a 5 minute drive away (very nice market with everything you could need) and get prepared food, sandwiches, frozen pizzas, or what ever you want and take that to the pool.
"Perfect for families with kids " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/14/2012 Vote
9. Having the kitchen (complete with blender!) was great - although we didn't cook at all, we bought some snacks, coffee, breakfast foods and beverages in Kona on our way from the airport - everyone was able to get up at their own pace and we had our own happy hour in the afternoons overlooking the golf course or by the pool.
"Nice and roomy " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/5/2012 Vote
10. The views are a lot better and so is the food (family style, not buffet) and you get unlimited drinks.
