4. we did not eat at hotel but had breakfast 2 mins away at diner called Van Dams and evening meal at AOA, in Tribeca, 10 mins walk where we tasted some of the best food we'd ever had at a very good price.

5. Would recommend Brooklyn Dinner on 57th street between 5 and 7 avenue, for an origianl america breakfast, the portions are huge and the food is delicious.

There are numerous great restaurants within that walk---(great bakery Francois Payard, you gotta try Molly's Cupcakes (Cupcake Wars winner from Food network) on Bleeker it's new and the best cupcakes we had anywhere in the city (strawberry shortcake cupcake) and believe me we tried a lot!, Joe's Pizza at 6 and Bleeker is great for a true NY slice it's the locals choice for Pizza, for a nice dinner try Palma on Cornelia everything is wonderful.

10. It's a small hotel but that's part of the charm - surprised at the cute little bar and restaurant - again, not 5 star gourmet but good food, and a nice bartender.
