1. The Property: This place is spectacular from the moment you walk into the semi-open air lobby.

2. The hotel is about a 3 minute walk to the beach so do not expect to be right on the beach like some other places but the walk is quick and they even provide a golf cart ride free of charge for you if you prefer.

6. There's a winding path down to the beach - a nice stroll - or, if you're up for a bit of further walk, a great path to Kapalua Bay and terrific snorkelling.

Likes:-Secluded (away from the mid range hotels of Kanaapali)-Has a nice beach a (very) short walk from the resort-Complimentary upgrade (we booked a basic room, but were upgraded to a 1200 sq ft suite (!)To those that want to explore the island, I would stress a car rental, as the hotel is secluded.
