5. We stayed at the Mahana for 2 weeks in Jan 2012 and here are highlights of what we liked:-clean rooms (and a nice room with full kitchen)-beautiful groomed shrubs, flowers, lawn etc.-helpful staff-amazing views from each unit-saw lots of whales breaching from our balcony-fun 'land' curling on ocean front-tennis courts in good shape and rackets/balls/court time are provided for free-situated on nicest beach in Maui and close to all great snorkelling beaches in Kaanapali -beach sand out front is the softest you could imagine-each unit had a DVD player (in Sony playstation)-free movies with a huge selection including new DVDs-expedia tour expert on site-poolside snack bar with reasonable prices-beach towels provided-free event tickets for the Kapalua PGA given to us at check inHere is what I did not like:-charges $0.75 per phone call from the land line-beach immediately out front had lots of coral and were not great snorkel/swim beaches (don't go out without rash gaurd and aqua socks/booties).
