1. Eventually after contacting the hotel I was put in touch with a very helpful, friendly, professional concierge who promised to personally arrange rose petals in a path from the door to the bed and in the shape of a rose on the bed along with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries.

8. Most of the staff were extremely nice, but the concierge seemed to be more interested in talking with her co-workers than helping the guests (saying "you need something?" with an exasperated sigh doesn't exactly exude customer service), although to be fair a couple of days later she did allow us to print off our boarding passes (after we wrangled her away from her co-workers).
