Nicest staff around, ESPECIALLY Serina, the
concierge
who helped up plan so many fun, easy, awesome excursions on a walk-up basis at the front desk help area.

The pool guys are always happy chirpy and helpful, but
concierge
and valet looked a little moody at times.

Agree that the staff (reception,
concierge
, etc.) are polite, friendly and obliging; that was a real plus in a hotel that was hard to like.

The
concierge

The service at the front desk and the
concierge
desk was excellent but if you speak to housekeeping or anyone over the phone you will struggle with language issues and lack of direction.

TIPS: get to the pool early one day and get a seat in the front row for a spectacular view; make reservations for dinner each night (Duke's and Hula Grill esp) or you will find yourself at a chain place after walking around for an hour; take an outrigger canoe ride ($15/person $40 for photo cd) thru one of the surfing companies down the beach by Duke statue; use the
concierge
for reservations-they can get better times than you canon your own.
