It appears that they are offering their old rooms for an admittedly good
rate
for the location but nevertheless, the room smelled musty, furniture is worn and the carpet dirty.

I was willing to put-up with all of this for the great
rate

First of all they get you in with a decent
rate
up front but then nickle and dime you for every possible charge they can .

We had a great
rate
($100 per night on a weekend) and were assigned to a room with a balcony overlooking the beach/ocean.

Let's see: for $319 (supposedly a special conference
rate
), there's no minibar, no robes, no conditioner, a nonworking phone, fluorescent lighting, a tiny bathroom, chipped furniture and scuffed rug.

I am guessing this is because I paid a reduced
rate
by booking through a different website.

Location of the hotel is right in the middle of everything, i think that is why the
rate
s are what they are.

The
rate

Please note that parking at the Royal Palm is $39 per night and there is a $19 resort fee (add 60 bucks or more to your nightly
rate
).
