1. Lots of construction going on in the neighborhood right now, but this hotel is located right across the street from the new convention center, near China town, lots of eating choices of every kind and just a short ride from Washington National Airport.

5. I was in DC for a conference held at the convention center, and this hotel was just across from the convention center, separated by a small street block which was more like a little park, called Mt Vernon Square.

8. across the street from the hotel is a cafe that sells every drink you can imagine and breakfast sandwiches at a great price and if you are going to the Smithsonian bring a bagged lunch for you and the kiddies because it is EXTREMELY expensive to eat in the cafeteria.
