4. Renovated rooms are nice, and while we're glad to see the end of the dirty wicker furniture & big gray square Trinitrons, I'm not quite sure the upgrade merits a doubling of the room rates.

10. The re-done rooms are a little too 'flavor of the month' for my tastes, despite the hotel's attempt to maintain the mid-century ambience with the the generous use of wood shelving, nightstands and cabinetry.
