1. Monettes, as a privately-owned commissary on the premises, displayed far better customer service, and an infinitely better menu for a similiar price tag.

2. At these prices, we'd do some comparisons, but from what we saw of some other places, you'd find us very happy to be here again.
"Classy and lots to love on the beach " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/20/2011 Vote
3. On the other hand, it is, like the Mauna Kea, open and airy, the service and food are just as good, and we got an amazing price on our rooms.
"Classy, comfortable and classic " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/19/2011 Vote
4. We really didn't use the second lanai (off the bathroom), and thought some of the extra space could have been used in the main living area to provide two comfortable chairs rather than just one, but overall we were thrilled with the hotel, its location, its staff and service, food, etc. (although the prices were somewhat breathtaking).
"This was a very special place to stay for our 25th anniversary. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   12/27/2009 Vote
5. Dinner at the Manta restaurant was delicious, but the prices definitely reflected a high opinion of their dishes (about $35-45 per entree).
"Pricey, but luxurious " Read full review on TripAdvisor   12/3/2009 Vote
6. Though, were it was completely outrageous was when ordering 2 diet Cokes : they share 1 can of Coke over 2 pints of ice and sell it as 2 diet Cokes : price 10 USD.
"Outstanding hotel with average food and beverage " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/6/2011 Vote

8. We ate our evening meal away from the hotel because of the high prices, but we found many nice restaurants within a 10 mile radius.
"Awesome hotel in best location " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/8/2011 Vote
9. The price was a lot less than the Four Seasons that we also considered.

10. From my travel agent and the hotel website I understood that the recent complete renovation had updated all the hotel rooms and common areas and I assumed for the price that the accomodation would be certainly comparable to the Orchid if not the Hualalai.
"Mauna Kea a HUGE disappointment " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/27/2011 Vote
