1. We'd like a little more guidance at check-in about some amenities, e.g. no one mentioned the complimentary coffee in Manta in the morning, or basic procedure for beach chairs, etc., but seemed more concerned about selling upgrades.

The service levels are basic, instead of receiving a warm welcome at reception the girl started a persistent upselling attempt at check-in ('you need to wait for your room till 3 pm, but if you are willing to spend the small amount of USD 300 more per night we can give you an oceanfront room right away').
