The room was big and comfortable and stylish (the
balcony
and the sofa were a great extra touch of comfort), although the bathroom was cramped and didn't live up to the bedroom.

The
balcony
was an especially nice place to sit out and enjoy the surrounding architecture of Dupont Circle and to get some fresh air.

Rooms in the rear, which my parents and inlaws had, are just as desirable although without
balconi
es as they overlook the quiet West End and Georgetown.

If you are a light sleeper and bothered by normal traffic noise, I would recommend that you skip the
balcony
, as it does let in a bit more traffic noise due to glass doors/windows and drapes not being as sound-proof as a wall.

The
balcony
was nice, and traffic was barely audible -- but we would have used the
balcony
more if there were a small chair or two.
