I booked a 'discount' room for a week night at the Lafayette on a budget expecting to walk into an old motel 6 looking room; My husband and I were quite surprised to walk into a victorian style suite complete with a sitting and dining area, 5 huge balcony windows with french doors, king size bed, antique, brass and mini/wet bar.

Also, we called a few days in advance to request that our room and our friends` room be placed as near each other as possible, and even though the hotel was fully booked all weekend, they were able to put our rooms across the hall from one another -- and they gave us a balcony and our friends a suite.
