1. The bar area has been nicely updated but is quite loud, with cement floors and lots of TVs (not a cozy place).

2. Their guestrooms probably had flat screen TVs, new furniture and perfect amenities, but I was so glad to return each evening to the more human scale of the Lafayette for shrimp at Mike's on the Avenue or a quiet drink in the bar.

7. When they open the bar and cafe (which appear to be quite modern and beautiful) and to which is interconnected via french doors with the hotel lobby this will greatly improve the convenience and atmosphere of the hotel.
