1. While the Omni has a lovely lobby and is close to Jackson Square and you can ask for a refrigerator brought to your room free of charge.

2. The other party we travelled with did not have a room they favoured as they forgot to ask for non-smoking so asked for an upgrade and that afternoon a balcony room was given to them with no extra charge, excellent service, thanks to Edwana on the front desk .

4. I'm shocked at the NYC priced parking ($30/night) and internet charge ($10/day) which really irks me at nice hotels, and the bravado at loudly featuring Starbucks coffee (really, we can't do any better than this 7-11 streetcorner brand?) Let's talk location: Royal Street, loads of galleries, close to the waterfront & Jackson Swuare, one block to Bourbon, and adjacent to Brennan's Emeril's NOLA restaurant, Paul Prudhomme's K-Paul restaurant, Maspero's Restaurant, and the esteemed Napoleon House bar.

5. Have to park your car for a charge plus tax each day so ask about this be sureto get all the details, parking is a problem in the area of course.

6. You also have in-out privelages, and can keep your car in the lot for at least 24 hours for each daily charge, sometimes longer if you check in earlier.
