1. The street noise (level 8) was at times a bit loud but the hotel was located in the middle of the city so this should be expected.

Our room was on the 6th floor facing the street and the noise was pretty audible but we got used to it (this was the end of a long trip across america and we were used to street noise by now anyway) The noise didn't wake us up or prevent us from sleeping in any way so it wasn't an issue for us and its the trade off that you make for the location.

4. If you can't cope with street noise/cable car noise then maybe reconsider but its convenience and cleanliness make it my first choice again.
