1. Also almost right outside the hotel is where you can get on the cable cars that take you down to the lovely Fishermans Wharf for loads more restaurants and shops.

2. The Stratford is walking distance to a lot of your big name stores and restaurants and a block or two away from one of the main BART stations that can take your just about anywhere you want to go for $2.

3. Located right in Union Square this hotel offers easy and convenient access to the BART (connecting to the airport and other locations within the city) and the cable cars (connecting to Fisherman's Warf etc.) There are plenty of restaurants offering everything from Mexican, to Thai to Italian as well as staples like the Cheesecake Factory and a Starbucks just one block away.

6. There are plenty of restaurants nearby - we had a late-night dinner at Lefty O'Doul's around the corner that was pretty good, and walked to Chinatown twice for dinner.
