1. It's ideally located a few blocks from Time Square, there's a subway station round the corner and plenty of bars/restaurants and even a supermarket close by.

2. As for the location, midtown is not the nicest part of town to stay, but if you're going to be in midtown the Belvedere's location is pretty good - short walk from the Rockefeller Center and with some reasonable restaurants and bars on 9th.

3. The area felt very safe to walk around in at any time of the day or night plus it is surrounded by some really good restaurants, we ate at a different one each night.

5. The lifts are very small and you usually have to wait a while but the staff were courteous and there is a fabulous little restaurant almost next door which is very friendly.

6. If you're wanting somewhere close to Times Square but just slightly off the beaten track and therefore near restaurants etc which aren't too expensive then this is the place to stay.

8. I must add that the staff were very helpful with particular kudos to David, the doorman, who seemed to know every good restaurant in the neighborhood, and there are several.

10. A reasonable distance to walk to Times Square and very closes to the theatres with handy local shops and excellent restaurants very close by, Restaurant Row is a block or two away although we ate twice at the excellent Delta Grill on the same block.
