1. And because of it's location right between Hell's Kitchen and The Theater District, everything you need is within walking distance.

2. As for the location, midtown is not the nicest part of town to stay, but if you're going to be in midtown the Belvedere's location is pretty good - short walk from the Rockefeller Center and with some reasonable restaurants and bars on 9th.

7. The location is amazing (5 min walk from Times Square and 2 mins to Hells kitchen in the opposite direction) The hotel is decorated in a art deco style which is lovely and the rooms are HUGE.

We went to see Chicago at the Ambassador Theater (few mins walk) and the Greyline Bus Night Tour - included bus tour of New York areas, visit to Chelsea Market, 1hour ferry cruise taking in sights such as Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and Brooklyn Briddge, dinner in Little Italy and completed with a trip to the top of the Rockerfeller Tower where the views were magnificent - i would recommend this trip as lets you see loads of NY if your only there for a few days.
