1. It is a place for friends, super romantic for couples and a fun place for families if the kids like the pool (not sure what else there is for the little ones).

2. A fun/interesting note: no seagulls to annoy you at the pool thanks to a resident hawk who is happy to keep them away with the help of his handler.

4. We had an absolute blast at Bacara, not only was it beautiful and relaxing, it was also surprisingly fun, we met great people in the lobby bar and Leslie kept everyone thoroughly entertained.

9. The grounds of the hotel are very nice- good sidetrips are the wineries in Los Olivos and Santa Ynez- also shopping on State Street in SBarbara is fun.

10. For a fun lunch with the locals, eat at Brophy Brothers (seafood) on the Harbor (not the Wharf, but the Harbor).
