2. Besides having grounds that are beyond lush and beautiful and architecture that reminded me of the best of Santa Barbara from my childhood, the entire staff - from grounds-keepers to upper management - were genuinely friendly, helpful and seemed to enjoy working at Bacara.

3. It is a place for friends, super romantic for couples and a fun place for families if the kids like the pool (not sure what else there is for the little ones).
