6. You have to sign for everything, for in-room dining this is frankly stupid - well-run chains like the Fairmont figured out a long time ago that you should just put the bill in an envelope, wheel the trolley into the room and then get out.

7. This adds up very quickly so know this ahead of time so you are not shocked when you get your bill like I was.

8. The room I stayed in did not have a bath tub so if you like taking baths on vacation this is not the hotel for you.
