1. The hotel put out cakes and champagne on new Year's and the view was spectacular to watch the fireworks on the river at the brew house, and the 270 degree view allowed us to see other fireworks near and far all over the city.

5. Our room was not ready on arrival and i gather this is common place as check in is not until 4pm after all, we were supplied with a key to the pool area so we could have a beer and take in the spectacular views from the roof whilst they prepared our room.

6. If you would judge the Omni by its lobby you would think the entire hotel would be spectacular, however when we stepped off the elevator we were welcomed by a dark dingy hallway that had horribly fithy carpets and smelled like an ashtray.

9. DH and I didn`t have one mediocre meal the entire time we were there-- well OK, the first night wasn`t spectacular foodwise (River Front Cafe) but they were closing, and they took us in anyway, the manager Crystal a doll- recommended where to get great, fresh LA.
