1. I'll preface this by saying that typically I like to stay at smaller boutique-type hotels when I visit New Orleans.

9. I have stayed at numerous hotels in the French Quarter (Astor Crown Plaza, Royal Sonesta, Ritz (which I liked a lot also but paid nearly double, had to wait to check in, and the location was not as central) to name a few) and honestly this was my best overall experience.
