1. Asked for any discount for the long stay, but no offers - so paid the full price of 289 per night for a room that was no better than a Marriott.

8. The toiletries smelled lovely and worked great, except on my hair; we found an Aveda salon just a block or so away (Natural Oasis) where I could obtain some familiar hair care products, and then I was much better coiffed.

10. ADDITIONAL review (10/26/11)I had posted on here for my first night with Loews-Vanderbilt, where I needed to move from the icky 'close to elevator/no view room' to a slightly better room with a view on the 3rd floor and had intended to post more through my stay.
