1. Or, even better, stay someplace that's honest and transparent about their policies so you can decide in advance whether or not you agree to their terms.

8. Luckily another same-sized room was found on the same floor without scaffolding, but if it had not been available the information I was getting from the front desk was that we requested the upgrade (for better views out of the windows.

9. ) I stated the upgrade was to have a better view and she said it was actually to be on a higher floor, although their e-mail confirmation advertises it as a higher floor for a better view.

10. The only complaint was we decided to pay for an upgrade upon check-in to a higher level floor ($25 per night for Hilton Honors members) for better views.
