1. room reaked smoke alarm was hanging out of the ceiling by wires, went to the front desk and they upgraded us to the premier and the furniture wasnt as beat up but that was the only difference smoke alarm still hanging out by wires still smelled i felt filthy in both rooms, needless to say we checked out and stayed else where, the nascar store is pretty much no more they dont carry any of the new stuff and it went from being a nice store to a little hole in a wall.

2. Yes, there was some wear to carpets, wall paper, and such, but it is an older hotel, so that is to be expected, as lots of people pass through, many of whom are probably not as respectful of their surroundings as they would be in their own homes, and it is unrealistic for people to expect complete perfection in that respect unless you are the first guest in a new/remodeled room.
