1. You couldn't see any, so it must have been recently cleaned but I really wonder how good of a cleaning job was done if we could still smell it (but given the cleaning job given to our room, I'm not surprised).

2. One day she decided to stay in the room rather than try to keep up with my niece and she said the housekeeping staff were wonderful when they came in to straighten up the room and were really attentive to her as she wasn't getting around well that day.

The pluses of this location are that it is attached to the wonderful Mandalay Bay and The Hotel at Mandalay Bay, as well as to the Excalibur, which isn't as nice but offers a fair amount of super cheap fast food options for those looking for a quick donut from Krispy Kreme or for a quick coffee from Starbucks or McDonalds.
