1. After reading some positive reviews, I booked the Luxor for me and my nanny friend.

2. positives: Pretty good location on the strip, you've got well known places next door and nearby, you have the monorail and moving walkways that can take you to Mandalay Bay and to Excalibur, etc.

8. Drinks for the price of a tip, could you ask for anything more? On the downside the position of The Luxor is not great, it is at the southern end of the strip which is OK but it gets boring having to walk through the Excalibur and New York New York to get anywhere.
