1. You couldn't see any, so it must have been recently cleaned but I really wonder how good of a cleaning job was done if we could still smell it (but given the cleaning job given to our room, I'm not surprised).

2. It did have a stale - smokey smell to it, which wasn't appealing, despite being a non-smoking room.

Here are the problems I found in my Pyramid 'Deluxe' Room before they upgraded me for free to the East Tower Players Suite: A/C leaking causing the carpet to smell and I mean STINKY, rust or puke in the sink, very loud fan in bathroom and A/C, towels stunk and were very rough, I can't say enough how BAD the room stunk from the leaking A/C, large and many stains on the carpets, very worn fabric on chairs, all in all the Pyramid rooms are just some of the worst rooms I have seen in any hotel or motel on the planet, internet cable broken so I couldn't plug in into my computer.

222. we booked a spa suite and because of that we could not sleep because the room was smeling very bad ( a terrible smell was coming from the drain and after several calls to the front desk, they sent in a maintence person that told us 'there is nothing I can do, just put in some paper to cover it'!) 223. I have stayed in other Vegas Casino hotels before and have not enjoyed the smell and the fact you have to walk through the Casino to get to your room which can get you pretty lost at times.

Upon arrival, check in was very swift, staff very competant, we were allocated a room in the pyramid, where we hoped we would be placed, all the rooms are around the outer wall of the building, which means the centre is completely hollow, although a fantastic piece of engineering to see, it meant that as soon as we came out of the room all you could smell were the greasy burgers being cooked below, (we were unfortunate enough to be placed above the fast food court.
