3. The hotel is also situated near several bus lines, so if you're looking to go to places like Golden Gate Park or Chinatown, there's sure to be a bus route to suit your needs, and the aforementioned trio can help you in so many ways, all you need to do is ask.

4. Raymond rocked and shared all kinds of 'secrets' with us (like checking out the original Darth Vader outfit in the the Lucasfilm office just down the way).

5. The motel is situated at the Presidio (Golden Gate) end of Lombard Street, and has two bus stops - and probably many more) within easy stepping distance - like 10 paces or 20 paces or 40 paces at most.

6. Part of the joy of staying in this place was the quietness, despite being so close to major traffic routes; the marina area within very easy walking distance has so many pleasant and interesting shops and restaurants it felt like an entire self-contained village.

7. My only regret is that other moteliers and hoteliers can't learn from people like Tyler, Raymond, Nicki and Bruce, and spread such confidence and joy of visiting new cities.
