2. If you want a quick bowl of cereal and coffee, this will do fine, but if not, visit Home Plate up the road which serves exceptional breakfast.

The room and layout was almost exactly the same as that of the motel we'd stayed in San Luis Obispo for about the same price, except that the inn had a wonderful breakfast spread, while the Travelodge offered a couple of packets of instant oatmeal, stale supermarket pastries, cereal, bags of tea and coffee.
