1. It is true that there are a lot of homeless people around but you can say that about a lot of places in San Francisco, and no one bothered us except to ask for spare change.

4. However, right from the beginning, the staff working front of house were rude, arrogant, curt and unhelpful to say the least, (except for the young female concierge, who was excellent, and the young waiter in the restaurant who was cheerful, helpful and friendly when he served us at breakfast).
