I know this was a Holiday Inn, not an artsy boutique hotel, but a few dollars invested with a professional decorator could have created improvements that would have made the hotel experience enjoyable, not just

It took me two tries with different names on the on-line booking form but it did
accept
it and it saved me about $400 for two rooms for 3 nights so well worth the effort.

The manager there was very argumentative and would not
accept
that fact that there had been a mistake and we were placed in a totally different hotel than our friends.

Unless one is used to elaborate breakfasts of poached eggs and salmon, he should find the typical breakfast fare more than
acceptable
(cereal, bagels, scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, toast, warm cinnamon rolls, yogurt, fruit).

Due to the times I really wanted to stay fiscally responsible for my business trip, and this extra charge took me way over the
acceptable
costs for a hotel room.
