3. Most of the hotels, will have a big lobby area and a reception right after the gate but this one gives a different feeling as you enter.

4. A big thank you to Eden at the concierge desk, who had perfect recommendations for food, sights and entertainment in the vicinity (cue Giordano's, Lou Mitchell's, Jazz Showcase and even a hair salon for my colleague's last minute requirement).

5. Chicago is a big city so there are many Starwood properties here, but there are a few things that separate this hotel from the rest.

7. In this world of feeling that great big huge nameless, faceless corporations run absolutely everything and don't give a damn about the 'little people' like me, it was overwhelmingly delightful to deal with Miss Bonds and all at the W, who treated me as though I was a celebrity.

8. It was not bad (you are in a big city so you expect noise) but I would imagine it may be different if you are on a low floor.

9. iPod dock w/ Tivoli radio, gigantic flatscreen that I never really used other than to see if it actually worked, nice glass desk, big bed with under lighting (pointless but kinda cool at night).

10. The room was very clean and so was the bathroom ( I am very picky when it comes to bathroom cleanliness), no stray hair from former guests, a big plus .
