1. Another tip: don't go for the fast track entry to the Empire State which includes a skyride (simulated helicopter ride) - it would be ok if it actually did simulate a helicopter ride over Manhattan but they tried to make it funny by pretending the helicopter goes through shops and down to street level - this just made me feel ill.

The room was very well appointed: comfy king size bed with nice linens and comforter; large wardrobe with plenty of drawers and space to hang our clothes; a safe large enough to fit a lap top; iron and ironing board; wall mounted flat screen TV; clock radio; a desk with an office chair and desk lamp; free internet which was easy to connect and fast; modern washroom with a large shower stall, Waterpik shower head, a Toto toilet with variable flush, blow dryer and good supply of towels; and there was a single cup coffee maker and supplies.

5. The NY subway system is so great that during the day, you can get anywhere fast, including Times Square, and at night we (two twenty something women) found the subway perfectly safe for 8pm-1am travel to Times Square the one night we went.
