1. Not sure how good it is but it wasn't advertised by any means, except for a note under the door each evening.

2. The staff downstairs, with the exception of the nice doorman/bellhop, could not have been more unfriendly, uncaring, unwilling to help and one staff member in particular, I would describe as threatening.

3. The breakfast was great except for the plastic cutlery, which was thin and totally useless, surely the hotel has spring for propery cutlery or at least a better grade of plastic.

4. It is very safe, with controlled entrance, exceptional doormen, a nice walk to enjoy Central Park and Columbus Circle, near Broadway, subway , 5th Avenue, Trump tower Carnegie Deli, and great places to eat.

7. We had to cancel our reservation due to sudden illness less than 48 hours in advance of check-in and were charged a full nights rate plus taxes - no exceptions, no rain check unless the future booking is made at the time of cancellation.

8. If you want a great location, big clean rooms, comfortable rooms and are ok with carrying your own bag upstairs, this is an exceptional value.

9. With the exception of the style of carpet in the room and tile in the bathroom they were in like new condition, not frayed and not broken.

10. Best possible location, we had a blast, walked everywhere except to Ground Zero, hundreds of eating places within 5 minutes walk, three good ones on same block.
