1. I reserved a standard room; what I got was a suite, with a sitting room, three walk-in closets, a vestibule, a microwave (no dishes or cutlery) and a decent-sized washroom.

8. Of course, renovations mean higher rates for hotel rooms, and we got a decent rate for this hotel in expensive NYC and it may have been old/outdated but it satisfied both of my desires - cleanliness and in the center of everyt.

9. Room had decent wifi access (which was charged separately), the noise in the morning was quite load with some building works taking place locally, this wasn't a big problem as you expect this from the City that never sleeps.
