1. The overall decor of the hotel is a bit dated but the cleanliness of the whole hotel was great and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

8. Of course, renovations mean higher rates for hotel rooms, and we got a decent rate for this hotel in expensive NYC and it may have been old/outdated but it satisfied both of my desires - cleanliness and in the center of everyt.
