1. The hotel itself is very quiet at night though New York outside never sleeps.

2. It's sitting right on a Subway line which is great and there are Taxis waiting in the mornings so it's not so quiet at night that you have to walk forever to get to public transportation.

6. Also since the floors 3 and up require room cards anyway to go up the lifts then why do I need to show my card first? If I do not have a card then I cannot get upstairs don't I? The lobby is also very noisy, open and always busy so forget about a quiet evening where you can have a drink with friends.
