I expected poor service after reading review after review complaining about it, but starting with the bellboy who offered to direct me the minute I stepped out of the taxi on arrival nearly every encounter I had with staff in every venue--front desk, pool, bar, beach, restaurants, housekeeping--was pleasant.

6. Bit of a queue for check out - we were able to check out at 1pm which helped enormously and I was pleasantly surprised to be handed an accurate bill despite the many charges we'd made.
