Elicia - when I checked into the hotel the room I requested was not available so she personally walked me to two different rooms to make sure I received the room that I was going to be
happy
with.

Extra perks like breakfast,
happy
hour and just a nice place to relax after a hot hot day is worth it.

Definitely opt for the Club room (an extra charge) - it's a bargain with breakfast, unlimited water/sodas, and a
happy
hour with appetizers and open bar.

If you can swing it, I highly recommend upgrading your room to the 'club level' as it provides access to complimentary tea (we went more for the champagne than the tea),
happy
hour, and breakfast.

When we checked in, we were not told we were staying on the Intercontinental Club floor where you could have a
happy
hour with hor douvres and drinks.

The manager offered a free breakfast and access to the Intercontinental Club
happy
hour - hardly enough to make up for my bad experience.

We were based in an executive room which enabled us to use the
happy
2 hour facility between 6-8 which had free wines/spirits and nibbles which was a lovely added touch.
