1. Our room was on nine, and had definitely not been renovated, was small, but adequate.

A few tips: rooms 17, 19 and 21 are in the corner of the towers so the balconies are not very private, floors 10 and higher have upgraded balcony furniture, rooms in the 'Shore' (shorter) tower don't have views of Diamond Head but have great views of sunsets, rooms in the 'Park' tower have stunning views of ocean and Diamond Head, but you have to stick your head over the rail for sunsets, beds are super comfortable, storage is adequate, and I found readily available free parking around the park.
